This university was established by Raffles Iskandar Sdn. Bhd. It was earlier known as Raffles University Iskandar. This university received formal approval from Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) on 31st October 2011. The establishment of Raffles University was a joint venture between Raffles Education Corporation Limited and a member of the Iskandar Investment Group (Iskandar Sdn Bhd).

Raffles University is located in southeast Malaysia, in Medini, Iskandar. It strives to deliver high-quality education and enrich the learning experience for international students. Raffles University continues to innovate and advance in teaching and learning. 

International students in Malaysia are given flexibility in starting their degree programs. The admission intake varies from faculty to faculty, or your desired program of study at Raffles University in Asia. However, there are three main intakes for international students in Malaysia; September Intakes, January Intake, and May Intake.

Each course at RU has a different tuition fee. However, the tentative total tuition fee for international students at Raffles University is approximately RM 82,500.
