Good News! The University College Birmingham is now accepting the Oxford ELLT (Digital and Global) test. It can be the best alternative for students who don’t want to take the IELTS test. If you are an international student applying to UCB from a non-English speaking country, you must prove your English language proficiency by taking certain tests like IELTS, PTE, Language Cert SELT, TOEFL iBT, Trinity SELT, etc.
IELTS is a widely accepted English language proficiency test but international students always get afraid of taking this test. On the other hand, ELLT has 4 modules like the IELTS test but people want to take this test as this is a little easier than the IELTS.
Previously the University College Birmingham was not accepting this test. But now this university is accepting ELLT. The ELLT score requirement at the University College Birmingham is an overall 6 not less than 5 in each component. This requirement is applicable for both bachelor’s and master’s. However, some courses may require higher scores.Â
